Secondary School

I guess I have not been blogging for a while, well I got in to Hai Sing Catholic School in case you guys did not know. Ask if I`m happy there, yes, of course. I am really enjoying my three weeks of school, its awesome, totally awesome. Secondary school rocks....haha.. you might think that I`m crazy, but its true.

Even then, I still miss Primary School, it might not have as many cool things as Secondary School, but I still miss the atmosphere, miss my friends, miss my teachers, miss the food, miss everything in it.

Everyday, when I go back home, I would make a point to always go in front if my school and stare at it for a good ten minutes, to refresh all the memories that I have, all the great and fun things that I did, how bombastic I was when I was such a puny and petite seven year old I was when I first entered the school.

I would also remember my teachers, how they have patiently and AMAZINGLY taught us all the different subjects. I still cant imagine how Miss Chia and Mdm Siti Mariam is not teaching me in class nut a different teacher.

Well I dont know how all you guys feel, but all you P6s of Changat Primary School 2010, leave me a comment about how you feel? I honestly Primary School really plats a big part in being who we are today....... :)

Haiz....PSLE Results....-.-

Well, PSLE results were released yesterday. How I feel about it? Err, not very good. all I got was a miserable 228. I actually expected to get at least a 236 but I unfortunately and obviously failed. Well I should probably tell you what happened since I am blogging abou this matter. So this is what happened.....

I arrived in school at 12 0`clock sharp, probably 5 minutes earlier with my mother. I was shock to see that more than 90% of the class had already reached the hall. I raced to the back of the long row and sat beside my best friend, Omar. He and I were describing to each other how nervous we both were.

Mrs Wee talked about our PSLE and then told the school about how well the top three in our school did. Koh Jin Ming was in 1st place and bagged a total of 267 marks. WOW. In 2nd place was Nickil Godsay with a total of 264 marks. Lastly, Ernest Lee had 262 marks of them did well with 3 A*s 1 A and Ernest and Jin Ming had distinction for their higher Mother Tongue.

Well some cried and some rejoiced. I looked my certificate, the first subject the popped up. English. I got an A. Chinese. I got an A. Mathematics. Yay! I got an A*. But sadly, I got a miserable B. Haiz....that really pulled my marks down. Unfortunately, Omar got 220 and cried immediately.

I called my tuition teacher and my father on the way back. They were all very proud of me. My mom was to too. I was not to upset after all....hahaha..lol. I took a long shower and went to relax myself.

The next thing to do was to figure out which school to go to. With my score, alot of my choice school was cancelled out immediately.. That was not very encouraging but I had to face the facts, I mean, life has to go on and I believe that I would do better in the future.

Anyways, Alex Tan scored the highest for PSLE. He had 282, wow. He only studied dor two months and studied one hour a day. But I believed that he must have a great interest in what he was doing.

At the end if the day, I was not really disappointed at all. I just have to take it as a minor setback and work hard for the future.

OMG!!!!! Mas Selamat has more than a 100 hundred relatives.... re

In the article that I have just read, it said that Singapore has just found out that Mas Selamat has more that a hundred relatives in his extended family. OMG, can you believe it, I really cant believe what I was reading, .....haha

Anyways this article also showed many GRCs in Singapore sharing their view on what happened on the recent case on what happened when Singapore has just realised that some of Mas Selamat`s relatives help him to disguise himself for his escape. They were later caught and were given their respective sentences.

In my perspective, I feel that his family that helped him should have known that his was a terrorist and was a terrible threat to the society and report him to the police. They should known what was wrong and what was right. They should known that by helping him, they would have known that they would suffered severe consequences.

Anyways, I agree with Mr Hri Kumar, the Bishan- Toa Payoh GRC that during the period of when Mas Selamat was out of Jail, they should have questioned Mas Selamat`s family to make sure that none of them had taken care of him. They should have taken priory........haiz...reallly SHOULD HAVE.

I also agree with Ms Ellen Lee, the Sembawang GRC that even though the four people that helped him did not even seen him for awhile. Yet they even helped him. This shows that even though Mas Selamat has not met his 100 over relatives for a long time, they might still help him.

I do not really with Mr Zaqy Mohammad , the GRC of Hong Kah that we should pay close attention to women wearing Tudung as Mas Selamat escaped in one. I feel that we should actually give this opportunity to the security to pay more attention and differentiate between a boy and a girl.

Friendship.....

What does friends mean to you? I mean seriously, have you ever thought what friendship means?..haha..I guess not. Well according to wikipedia, friendship means:

friendship is considered to be closer than association, although there is a range of degrees of intimacy in both friendships and associations. Friendship and association can be thought of as spanning across the same continuum. The study of friendship is included in sociology, social psychology, anthropology, philosophy, andzoology. Various theories of friendship have been proposed, among which are social exchange theory, equity theory, relational dialectics, and attachment styles.

Well Friendship to me means that you have made a pledge to a person to be the best friend as possible, to make sure that you give good advice to the person, to make sure that you try your best to never betray that person, to make sure that you would be there for the person when they are down to comfort them or to give them moral support.

If you are not at the appropriate age please do not get too close and give the person a wrong idea. Yeah, you should know what I mean here..haha. If you do not, go and ask someone to read this blog post and tell them what it means....hehehaha

I have good friend name who I must not reveal as face it, the internet is not exactly the safest place to place your personal information...hahahah...Its true..He may not be the best of friends
but he has quite a nice personality, but then he has a VERY BAD temper that reallly really stinks..haha

Nevertheless, I would still give good advice as he is still my friend. Oh and One more thing, you should be friends wii=th a person because of his or her personality, not because of whether he or she is rich...

Anyways, I had my say on friends, are you a good friend?

6 years just past by.... -.-..haiz..

6 years of education just pass by like that, in a swoosh. Primary school is one of the most enjoyable things in my life so far. I made friends that have different personalities and they were all special in their own ways. I also have been taught by different teachers through my primary school life, some I felt some were good teachers and some I felt were not good enough as the other stories.

Primary School has let me develop some of the "characteristics" that I would never imagine having, like playing soccer for example. I suddenly been giving a chance to be a leader. It was not really that exciting at first but I got used to it later and become quite happy that I was appointed one. I learn to differentiate between right and wrong correctly better that I used to last time.

I also learned to differentiate between a good friend and a bad friend. Through his or her actions and not by how he or she looks. It was once said to never judge a book by its cover. I find this phrase very meaningful. It does not mean that even though that you are fat means that you are mischievous and it does not mean that when a person looks good means that that person has good values in he or she.

Out of my six years of primary school, I found the last two years of education the most enjoyable as I am one of the seniors and i get to do more interesting things like go to the P5camp and go to the tea chapter, the list is too long for me to mention. Sadly, that list cannot be endless as Primary school has ended for me. Once again...haiz......

I have to thank these few teacher that I would never forget, Ms Lo, Ms Ha, Miss Seet, Miss Seah, Mr Lim, Mdm Ong, Mdm Siti Mariam and last but not least Ms Chia. These teachers are ones that I would forget as they have been the ones that REALLY helping me and supporting me through these six years.

Teachers and friends who read this blog post I am sorry for what I did wrong for the past six years, will you please forgive me.

I have graduated from Changkat Primary School as a learner with passion and a citizen of honour. I believed I have seized my day. Carpe Diem!

I too know I am fighting for.......

Referring to the Straits Times under Review & Forum on Saturday, November 13 2010 A30. It was basically about this girl Zhong Heng . She recently read an article in Chinese language daily Lianhe Zaobao entitled I Know What I am Fighting For, written in response of a NTU student.

She wrote that she was from China but migrated a few times true her life cause her parents were considering the right country for their children. Her parents were not anything "big", they were just educators. So their family was not exactly rich, wealthy or well to do but just an average, normal family.

What struck me most in this article was that the girls action throughout her 19 years in life, the choices she made, her amusing ways of doing things and HOW she does them were really I would like to consider in life.....haha.

For example, when she went to Singapore and went to school in Primary 1, the first thing she wanted to do was to make friends. How to that? She wanted to be more hardworking and achieve better grades that any other student and be recognised . She not only to get "noticed" by students academically but also in other ways too.

She actually became a traffic warden. So that she could wait with other students that were waiting for their relatives to pick them up. Kind of weird but at the same time quite amusing......hehehaha

What stuck me most in this forum was the last paragraph, let me type it out for you:

Unlike 13 years ago, I no longer fight alone. All around me more and more comrades around my age from different countries , of different nationalities and ethnic groups. Our aim is the same: to shine on the international stage. We never ask what we are fighting for, as it is clearly for ourselves, our country and the family that we live in. As for the issue of old and new immigrants, who cares?

I feel that this is very meaningful as it does not matter if you are from what country or what race, it is the hard work that matters a lot. It is the attitude that matters. Like what Zhong Heng displayed. IMPORTANT.

I also feel that the aim is quite meaningful. " to shine on the international stage ". I feel that we must not only work hard but we must also make sure that all of our hard work must also pay off. So we must all have a aim to work towards to.
